"Arbor Day in Cedar Park" Mural Installation for Cedar Park, Texas Recreation Center

Every time I go to the gym and I look at the mural I see something new I did not notice before. It’s quite relaxing to see the colors and at the same time I find new things to observe. Very beautiful.

Thank you Cedar Park City Council and Cedar Park Recreation Center for inviting me to install this interactive mural celebrating Arbor Day in Cedar Park!

The mural features a super cool interactive search and find elements. Guests of the rec center can check out from the front desk blacklight flashlights, blacklight pens, and a search and find map. Then they can find hidden details in the mural locating native and endangered species of wildlife, plants, and some nocturnal light up UV painted creatures and elements.

“Arbor Day in Cedar Park” showcases the outdoor recreation activities available at Cedar Park including the diverse members of the community who enjoy recreating in the outdoors.

The Cedar Park Recreation Center is a 47,500 sf facility that features two full-court gymnasiums, cardio-workout areas, group exercise rooms, community rooms, and the City’s sculpture garden.
The mural site is situated on one of the walls in the main hallway leading to the Rec Center’s community rooms and gymnasiums.

The members and staff of the Rec Center members were so welcoming, supportive, and enthusiastic. It truly made for a dream install. Thank you to everyone cheering on the painting process, asking questions, and words of excitement.

Do you frequent the Rec Center? Have you stopped in to see the mural? Let me know in comments, I would love to hear from you!
